Les Cerisiers, meaning The Cherry Trees in French, takes its name from the seven ancient cherry trees situated around the grounds. In the spring it is a delight to see the blossom in full bloom and to inhale its sweet fragrance. {short description of image} {short description of image}

The gites are set within beautiful 3 acre grounds in the rural hamlet of Grosbout, where we are surrounded by woodland and a patchwork of pastoral landscape.
Considerable effort has been made to preserve the charm and character of our gites. With their exposed beams and original stonework we have maintained the original features whilst upgrading to the high standard of modern day comforts and conveniences that our guests expect.

All our gites have been lovingly and luxuriously restored.




Lavender House. 3 Bedrooms, sleeps 6

The living room has high beamed ceilings and exposed stonework and is beautifully cool in the heat of the summer and also contains a television, video recorder and radio/CD player.

The kitchen/dining room is open plan and is also fitted with a dishwasher and microwave. A washing machine is provided in its own small separate laundry room.

The two upstairs bedrooms are large and full of character and also have exposed beams and stonework.

There is a shower room/WC upstairs and another shower room/WC downstairs.

Restored to the highest standard. It has an open plan kitchen/living/dining room which is beautifully decorated and like our other gites, fully fitted and extremely comfortable.

The mezzanine double bedroom has exposed stonework and beams and has an ensuite shower room/WC.

La Porcherie. 1 bedroom, sleeps 2 + infant/4

La Porcherie is our pride and joy! Converted from a former pigsty, it has an open plan kitchen and living room with a wood burner for cosy winter evenings. The large bedroom and shower room/WC are separate. This gite is charming with it's character beams and exposed stonework. As with all our gites it is decorated to the highest standard and equipped with a cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge-freezer, TV and Hi-Fi. {short description of image} {short description of image}

{short description of image} It has a private garden and a lovely wooden pagoda to sit under during those long, hot summer days.


A bakers van drives through the village daily and the nearest large supermarket is ten minutes drive away in the market town of Sauzé Vaussais.

There are plenty of good restaurants within a ten - fifteen minute radius. The local restaurant in Montjean (5 mins drive) is excellent.
